This Application represents an effort by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in partnership with Colnodo, with the aim of expanding knowledge about the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Land Tenure and contribute so that people, especially in rural areas, can participate in processes related to land governance and guarantee their rights to equitable tenure.The content of this resource is based on the learning program "Land Governance for Women and Men" designed by FAO, focused on the Colombian context and offered in three training cycles in 2018, 2019 and 2020 with more than 100 participants in total. It has been developed in order to provide key knowledge and resources to the people of the territories to assume an active role against the enforceability of their right to access, possession and use of the land.The content is divided into the following topics: • Introduction to governance of land tenure • Equitable participation in the formulation of land policies. • Legal issues • Technical issues • Conveying the messageIt is addressed to:• Grassroots actors in the territories such as peasants, networks and organizations of rural women, leaders, managers and social managers who face problems related to access, control and ownership of land and food security.• Civil society organizations working to promote land governance in gender equality, that can use this training material as a resource for workshops and socialization actions of the Guidelines among the populations with whom they work in the territory.• Women and men living in rural areas who want to materialize their right to land. The narrative is presented to appropriate each theme from concepts, stories, explanations and cases presented in audio, dialogues between characters and short texts. Knowledge can be strengthened with playful game-type activities. By advancing in the contents, badges are obtained that mark the progress in the App and reward the dedication.We invite you to follow this content and to share knowledge among actors in the environment in order to promote responsible land governance for the benefit of women and men.
